Peg Loom Weaving Workshop with Sophie Heywood

Brand new for 2026, we are delighted to welcome weaver Sophie Heywood to lead a Peg Loom Weaving Workshop in the Tudor Stables Studio at Haddon Hall. Using British wool from rare and native breeds, Sophie creates beautiful, sustainable items using this ancient weaving technique. In this half-day workshop you will learn how to warp the loom, weave and tie off, and you will be able to choose wool from a range of different breeds and natural colours, including carded (combed) wool, and textured wool with curls and crimps. All tuition, materials and equipment will be provided and each participant will create a small mat to take home and treasure, ideal as a seat pad or pet mat.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities and for everyone over the age of 18. No previous experience is required. Your ticket for this event entitles you to half-price admission to Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens on the same day, plus tea/coffee for the duration of the workshop.

Please note that tickets are non-refundable.

Please note that tickets for this event have not yet been released. Please save the date and keep checking our website and social media accounts for ticket availability coming soon!
