Children

To a child, Haddon is a fairy tale castle, all towers and turrets, crenellations and arrow slits, courtyards and doors.

A Prince made it his home.

With 900 years of history, there is many a tale to be told about Haddon Hall and much to be learnt from its past.

Kings, Queens and princesses have visited and a prince made it his home.

Banquets were cooked in its kitchens and balls held in its glorious rooms.

Left for 300 years under lock and key, Haddon is a rare survivor. Nothing was altered or modernised, it was simply left alone.

So when you visit us, you step back in time and the past comes alive. A perfect way to assist children in the visualisation of the past.

We welcome all children under the age of 16 to visit free and make sure you look out for our child orientated events such as Archery, Historical re-enactments and craft days throughout the year.
