The Restaurant

Our restaurant is situated in the 17th Century stable block adjacent to the Hall and provides wonderful views of the Hall and river.

With an extensive menu, our restaurant offers something for everyone; a freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, traditional Afternoon Tea or a simple and relaxing cup of freshly-ground coffee accompanied by a tempting treat from the cake counter.

The restaurant caters for a wide range of dietary requirements, with each menu using local seasonal produce carefully prepared by Head Chef Dean and his marvellous team.

Opening Times

Haddon Restaurant will be open daily for our 2024 Spring/Summer season on the following dates:

20th March – 30th September and 5th – 31st October

and will be serving from 10:00 am to 4.00 pm during March/April/May/September/October and until 4:30 pm during June/July/August.

We then open on selected dates during November and December for our Mercatum Christmas Artisan Markets, and on selected dates in December for Candlelight Tours.  More information on these events will be available soon.

 

Group Bookings

Enhance your group visit to Haddon by including a delicious lunch or tea into your day in our bright and airy restaurant in the Tudor Stable block.

Our pre-bookable menu is ideal for coach parties and organized group bookings of 12 or more people, and is available Monday to Saturday.  It offers a range of choices including breakfast; coffee and cake; a two course lunch; and Afternoon Tea.

If you wish a table can be reserved for your group and our cheerful waitress service will see to your every need.

Afternoon Tea

Served in the traditional manner, our Afternoon Tea completes a visit to Haddon or makes a perfect gift.

Served with a freshly brewed pot of tea or filter coffee, treat yourself to a beautifully presented array of fresh finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and cream, and mouthwatering home-made cakes.

Please note that pre-booking a minimum of 24 hours ahead is usually essential, but do ask for availability on the day.

Christmas

During December the Haddon Restaurant serves a wonderful seasonal menu.  The menu for this year has not been finalised yet, but for an idea of the delicious festive dishes prepared by our chef, Dean Torr, you can see last year’s  menu here 2023 Christmas lunch menu.  Our lunch bookings can be very popular, so if do you wish to have lunch, booking is highly recommended.
