Creative Nature Writing Workshop in Haddon Medieval Park

Brand new for 2026, we are delighted to welcome writers Maggie Langford and Lucy Marsh to lead a Creative Nature Writing Workshop in Haddon Medieval Park. Maggie and Lucy both have extensive experience as published writers and teachers, and they are passionate about inspiring others to develop their creative writing skills.

Your day starts with a relaxing walk in the peaceful landscape of Haddon Medieval Park to take inspiration from the beauty of our ancient parkland. You will learn a range of different nature-writing formats, including Haiku, poetry and prose, and explore the connections between nature, history, place and memory to influence your creative writing. In the afternoon you will work in our Tudor Stables Studio under Maggie and Lucy’s guidance, learning how to refine your techniques and produce a poem or short piece of prose of your own.

This event is suitable for everyone over the age of 18. No experience is necessary, and all tuition, materials and equipment will be provided. This event includes a short walk on uneven ground, so a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required.

Please note that admission to Haddon Hall is not included within the price of this event.

Sorry, tickets are non-refundable.

Please note that tickets for this event have not yet been released. Please save the date and keep checking our website and social media accounts for ticket availability coming soon!
