Contemporary Gilding Workshop

Brand new for 2026, we are delighted to welcome celebrated gilder Amelia Bedson to lead a Contemporary Gilding Workshop in the Tudor Stables Studio at Haddon Hall. In this half-day workshop each participant will learn about the art of gilding and will use Dutch gold leaf to gild a 6×4″ picture frame and an oyster shell to take home.

This relaxing, meditative craft is suitable for all abilities and no previous experience is required. All tuition, materials and equipment will be provided.

This workshop is suitable for everyone over the age of 18. Your ticket includes half-price admission to Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens on the same day, plus tea/coffee throughout the duration of the workshop.

Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
