Halloween

As the nights draw in and the magic of Halloween approaches, visitors young and old will enjoy Haddon’s programme of spellbinding activities and events.

Experience spooky tales from our rich 900 year history...

As the nights draw in and the magic of Halloween approaches, there can be no better place to enjoy some enchantingly good activities than Haddon Hall. The Stable Block will be transformed into the headquaters of Little School of Sorcery, where witches and wizards-in-training step into a world of spell writing, Halloween crafts and enjoy a programme of drop-in workshops through the day.

In the Hall, we invite you to explore MAGIC: Charms, rituals and superstition in Elizabethan England – a family-friendly exhibition that reveals how belief in the supernatural shaped everyday life in the 16th century. With immersive displays, real artefacts and curious folklore, it’s both educational and entertaining for all ages, with Little School of Sorcery guests been given a magical map to help them spot the curious and unusual secrets of Haddon Hall.

Watching out for the mystical owls in the Banqueting Hall on selected dates, plus other magical surprises. Come and explore Haddon’s bewitching house and gardens this Halloween and leave spellbound!
