Brand new for 2025, we are delighted to welcome ecologist Julie Riley to Haddon Medieval Park to lead a Wildflower Wander through our beautiful, peaceful meadows. Julie has more than 18 years’ experience working in the environmental sector and is a specialist in botanical and habitat surveying. She is passionate about sharing her love of the natural world with others.
This is a wonderful opportunity to go behind the scenes into the private parkland that surrounds Haddon Hall, exploring the ancient meadows and riverbanks, enjoying the rich biodiversity and beauty of this organically-managed landscape. For 2-3 hours, walking at a gentle pace, under Julie’s expert guidance you will learn how to tell your campion from your cranesbill, your knapweed from your hawkweed, and discover more about the importance of the native wildflowers of the UK.
This event is suitable for everyone over the age of 16 with a reasonable level of fitness.
Your ticket includes a complimentary tea, coffee or soft drink in our restaurant after the walk, as well as half-price admission to Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens on the same day.
Haddon Hall is a privately-owned estate, and one of the only houses in England to have remained in one family’s ownership for its entire existence. Your support enables us to protect the buildings and precious landscape here for the future.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
