Little School of Sorcery

22 – 31 October 2025

Experience real family magic this Halloween at Haddon Hall – one of the UK’s most enchanting historic houses. Following the huge success of last year’s event, from 22nd to 31st October Haddon Hall will once again open the doors to our spellbinding ‘Little School of Sorcery’.

Children of all ages will find something to captivate and enthral. With broomstick making, spell writing and a changing programme of spooky craft activities in our 17th Century stables, our young wizards and witches can make their own magical objects to take home with them.

Then the hall itself awaits… Haddon will be more spellbinding than usual as we will be hosting our special autumn exhibition, MAGIC. Telling the story of everyday magic in Elizabethan England, the exhibition will be the perfect mix of fascinating facts and enchanting spectacle, with wonders that will delight adults and children alike. Our Little School of Sorcery guests will be able to enjoy each room with a special magical map to help them spot the curious and unusual secrets of Haddon Hall.

Watch out for the beautiful Haddon owls who will be in the banqueting hall on selected dates (to be confirmed), plus other magical surprises. And before heading home, families can enjoy some ghoulish delights from Haddon’s restaurant, which will be serving a Halloween-themed menu for the occasion.

Fancy dress isn’t essential but is encouraged!
