Fabric Appliqué & Embroidery Workshop with textile artist Sue Lancaster

Brand new for 2026, we are delighted to welcome renowned textile artist Sue Lancaster for a very special art workshop. For years Sue has worked with themes rooted in her love of the natural environment, creating stitched artworks of landscapes, seascapes and the plants, hedgerows and trees of the countryside around her. 

In this unique, full-day workshop in the Tudor Stables Studio at Haddon Hall, Sue will teach you the art of fabric appliqué and hand embroidery to create beautiful artworks inspired by the floral designs found in the ancient Haddon Hall tapestries. All tuition, materials and equipment will be provided and everyone will go home with a mounted artwork ready for framing. 

This workshop is suitable for all abilities and for everyone over the age of 18. No previous experience is required. Please note that admission to Haddon Hall is not included within the price of this event.
