Workshops

Throughout the year we have an extensive programme of workshops and events focused on developing new skills.

Needle Felting Workshop at Haddon Hall

21 Jun

“The needle felting workshop was excellent. The setting was perfect and the restaurant for lunch was lovely. Jo was a great teacher, very patient and calming. I think the location also made the day as it’s so nice.” – Attendee on 2024 Workshop

This year we are delighted to welcome back Jo Gardiner to Haddon Hall for a full-day Needle Felting Workshop in our Tudor Stables Studio. Jo is a renowned local artist working primarily with natural fibres. Her exquisite needle-felted animals created out of wool reflect her love of the wildlife that surrounds her home in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Needle felting is a craft which, in simple terms, involves using barbed needles to entangle fibres together. Taking inspiration from the wildlife in Haddon Medieval Park, attendees will create a needle-felted sleeping fox under Jo’s patient guidance. All tuition, materials and equipment will be provided and everyone will go home with a finished item. This event is suitable for everyone over the age of 16. No previous experience is required.

Haddon Hall is a privately-owned estate, and one of the only houses in England to have remained in one family’s ownership for its entire existence. Your support enables us to protect the buildings and precious landscape here for the future.

Please note that admission to Haddon Hall is not included within the price of this event.

Sorry, tickets are non-refundable.
