Jo Gardiner is a renowned local artist working primarily with natural fibres. Her exquisite needle-felted animals created out of wool reflect her love of the wildlife that surrounds her home in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
New for 2024, we are delighted to welcome Jo Gardiner to Haddon Meddieval Park for a Needlefelting Day in our Tudor Stables Workshop. Needle felting is a craft which, in simple terms, involves using barbed needles to entangle fibres/wool together. Taking inspiration from the wildlife in Haddon Medieval Park, attendees will create a needle-felted Barn Owl under Jo’s patient guidance.
All tuition, materials and equipment will be provided and everyone will go home with a finished item.
No previous experience is required, making this workshop suitable for all abilities and for everyone over the age of 14.
Free tea and coffee making facilities are available in the classroom. Haddon Hall’s award-winning restaurant, selling a wide variety of snacks, drinks and main meals, is located very close by, or you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat within the classroom.
