Candlelight Tours

21 Dec, 22 Dec, 28 Dec

This year we are offering a Candlelight Tour evening in the interval between Christmas and New Year – a lovely way to keep the festive spirit going!

Early Evening Tour: 7.15 pm  Late Evening Tour:  7.45 pm

Please do dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for our ancient building, and aim to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your tour to allow time to park, cross the A6 to the entrance set in the beech hedge, and then make your way up the drive, and then up the steps to the main entrance in the Duke’s Tower (approx 375 metres), where one of our team will greet you.  You can then relax and enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pie in front of the fire in the Banqueting Hall, before meeting your guide for your tour.

£33.00 per person

Places are limited and booking is essential – please book through our Tickets booking link at the top of this page taking care to select your preferred tour time.  We regret that tickets are non-refundable.

Access
Due to the age and nature of Haddon Hall access for visitors with restricted mobility, including wheel chair users, is very challenging with many uneven floors and steps without handrails.  We wish to avoid visitors being disappointed to find that they cannot access the Hall, so if you are in any doubt please do read our more detailed Accessibility Statement or ring the Estate Office on 01629 812855 before you visit.

If you have visited Haddon Hall before, you will already be familiar with its wonderful atmosphere, but our Candlelight Tours offer the opportunity to experience the Hall in a totally different way.  Enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine and a fragrant mince pie before the glowing fire in the Banqueting Hall, before setting off with your guide to explore the rooms in all their festive beauty, softly lit by flickering candlelight.  Enjoy the seasonal decorations as the lights on the Christmas trees gently twinkle and are reflected in the latticework of the windows.   We can think of no better way to enjoy the Hall and to capture the mood of the season which we hope will inspire you in readiness for your own Christmas festivities.
