On our seventh day of Christmas at Haddon, 7th December, we look forward to welcoming Sunday Best, a cappella choir of twelve voices, who love to sing early Tudor pieces, plus a considerable repertoire of later music.
Alison Wake, embroidery Artist, will be demonstrating her hand-stitching technique using a variety of threads and wools. Alison will also be hosting talks throughout the day explain how she came to be a textile artist, her processes, choice of materials and inspiration for many of her pieces.
Emma Parkins, willow artist, will also be at Haddon demonstrating her beautiful craft and how to make lovely traditional decorations such as willow stars for your tree.
Alistair Farson, woodsmith, will demonstrate his wonderful way with woodcarving – you can find him in the lower courtyard.
Whilst, Manchester based Martine Alexander, stylist to the stars will be with us to give us her essential fashion insight into what is hot and what is not for this Christmas Party season. With a fabulous rail of outfits, Martine’s talks throughout the day should be lots of fun and highly informative!
We look forward to you joining us for this fun filled, inspiring day and hope that you will sign your name on our Christmas card to the Queen which will be found in the Long Gallery.
In the evening, Haddon will be hosting its first of its magical candlelight Tours that can be complimented by a delicious meal in our restaurant to make it an extra special night out.
