Monday 23rd December

Music and Demonstrations held throughout the day
All included in your admission price
10:30 – 4:00pm

On our last day of Christmas at Haddon, 23rd December, the hall will be ringing out with the chimes of the Dronfield Handbell Ringers, one of the foremost small handbell groups in the country. Their repertoire extends from jazz and popular music through to classical and early music.

Whilst the Haddon Creative team will be on hand to show you how to make fragrant Pomanders, how to wrap presents beautifully and other lovely festive craft. Throughout the day, there will be special tours of the Haddon chapel. The chapel is dedicated to St Nicholas and St Anne and the tours will include a specific emphasis on the story of St Nicholas, as illustrated in the very rare secco frescos found on the chapel walls.

For children, members of the Haddon educational team shall be found in the Medieval kitchens with all sorts of lovely traditional craft ideas and activities for children to make and do.

Our restaurant shall be serving delicious festive meals and the Pop Up Gardener’s Cottage Café will be available for teas, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes!

We look forward to you joining us for this fun filled, inspiring day and hope that you will sign your name on our Christmas card to the Queen, which will be found in the Long Gallery.
