On our eighteenth day of Christmas at Haddon, 18th December, the South Nottingham Men’s Chorus return to Haddon Hall after a busy year, which included competing in the Cornwall International Male Choral Festival in May.
Lydia Waters, professional cake decorator, of Lydia’s Perfectly Cakes, will be giving a joyous demonstration on how to decorate Christmas cakes, biscuits, Yule logs and cup cakes in the Medieval kitchens, and Kindred and Kind, florists, will be demonstrating how to make beautiful Scandinavian wreaths using wild winter foliage, eucalyptus, rosemary and pine, with fir cones and seed heads. The wreaths are minimalistic and Scandinavian inspired: perfect to hang on walls and doors.
Haddon’s Head Gardener, Lindsay Berry, will also be on hand, and shall be demonstrating how to make traditionally decorated shepherds hooks and other wonderful garden organic decorations.
We look forward to you joining us for this fun filled, inspiring day and hope that you will sign your name on our Christmas card to the Queen, which will be found in the Long Gallery.
In the evening, Haddon will be hosting its magical candlelight Tours that can be complimented by a delicious meal in our restaurant to make it an extra special night out.
