Lower Garden

The Fountain Terrace has matured since its replanting by Arne Maynard in 2009. The topiary trees stand among thriving wildflowers, including native orchids. In spring and early summer, the pond is home to frogs, toads and their tadpoles. The large herbaceous borders provide a backdrop of lush colour throughout the season.

The outer areas of the garden, leading down to the river bank and up to the edge of the trees are less formal and give different views of the Hall and surrounding countryside.
